Patrick Boland 

Patrick Boland is a partner at Momkus LLP, where he focuses his practice on general civil and commercial litigation, including disputes arising from commercial and residential real estate transactions. Mr. Boland is a trial court and appellate practitioner, and he has practiced before the Illinois Appellate Court and Seventh Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals. He has tried numerous cases to judgment and has been successful in his proceedings in the appellate court. Most recently, Mr. Boland’s work at trial and on appeal resulted reversal of a trial court’s judgment wherein the Illinois Appellate Court, ruled it hat a more than $5 million commercial real estate purchase agreement was enforceable and that seller had breached the same. Mr. Boland has great familiarity with disputes arising from all manner of real estate transactions and is experienced in obtaining efficient monetary, equitable, and practical relief for his clients. 

Joseph Fortunato

Joseph R. Fortunato Jr. is a partner at Momkus LLP who focuses his practice on residential and commercial real estate transactions, real estate broker matters and civil litigation.

Joe has been outside general counsel to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors® since 2001, and Mainstreet’s representative on the drafting committee of the Multi-Board Residential Real Estate Contract committee.

He has lectured for bar associations and title companies on many occasions.

He is a past chair of the ISBA Real Estate Section Council, a past chair of the DuPage County Bar Association Real Estate Law & Practice Committee, and the former president and former board member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association.

He has testified extensively as an opinion witness in cases involving real estate law issues. In 2015, authored the book “Getting Started as a Real Estate Attorney,” published by the American Bar Association.
